Winter Carnival 2019
Ladybug Picnic at Green & Purple Park 2015
Fall Planting Events 2014
In late September 2014, a group of Wildwood residents planted a nice assortment of native trees, Manitoba Maples, Green Ash, Bur Oak, Elm, Basswood, Poplar & a few Saskatoons throughout the Inner Park, part of WHACC’s ongoing succession planting program.
In early October, a very hardy band, four from Canon Canada, three city naturalists and Evergreen’s Manitoba coordinator, who organized the event, planted mostly native shrubs and a few trees in 6c temps with a strong moist north wind! The 6 Downy Arrowwood, 9 Wild Black Currant, 7 Nannyberry, 9 Saskatoon, 12 Highbush Cranberry, 12 American Hazelnut and 2 Bur Oak were planted along the NoMow zone between the red bench by the meadow and SJR’s soccer field, part of WHACC’s habitat recreation program. AND they stucco wired 15 trees along the riverbank below the meadow to protect them from beavers, part of WHACC’s forest protection program.
