We are entering the stretch run for the Rinks and the Canteen. After the 8th of March the ice and the Canteen will be on a very random schedule. Depending on the weather and especially depending on the amount of sunshine we could see the rinks very quickly become unsafe for skating and not worth the effort to maintain. If we have snow we will leave the change rooms open daily to warm up and there might even be an opportunity to run the Canteen a day or two on weekends.

If anyone out there is interested and possibly available to staff the canteen please send me a note (paul.infuso@shaw.ca ) and I will put you on a list that I will use to try to find volunteers if needed.

Canteen Plan for 2025/26

We’ve made a few tweaks this year:

• Weekday evening shifts: 6:00–9:00 pm

• Weekend shifts: start at 11:30 am (instead of 12:00 pm)

• Each section is assigned a week and is responsible for filling 10 shifts.

• Section Reps coordinate volunteers, handle receipts, and ensure the building is locked up each night.

Help your Section Rep (and your community!) by reaching out early to let them know you are available to volunteer.
